Liz Claiborne Inc. Drives Online Sales with Pay-for-Performance Advertising
Elisabeth.com and Luckybrandjeans.com Launch Affiliate Marketing Programs with Commission Junction
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – July 19, 2001 – Commission Junction, the largest pay-for-performance advertising network, announced today that Liz Claiborne Inc.'s Elisabeth.com and LuckyBrandJeans.com Web properties recently launched affiliate marketing programs to drive increased online sales. Both sites are using Commission Junction's network, technology and service for online advertising.
According to Brad Lenz, Liz Claiborne's vice president of ecommerce, "There is a direct correlation between the growth of our online business and the increasing percentage of sales coming from Commission Junction publishers."
Elisabeth and Lucky Brand Jeans' affiliate marketing programs allow both retailers to advertise on thousands of Web sites across the Internet on a pay-for-performance basis - expanding reach, driving sales and lowering customer acquisition costs. Liz Claiborne only pays for that advertising when an actual sale is made. Commission Junction serves as the trusted third party that tracks, serves, reports and pays on every sales transaction.
"Our most successful customers are those with business models focused on acquiring new customers via pay-per-sale or pay-per-lead programs," said Commission Junction chief executive officer Lex Sisney. "This is where tangible results happen for advertisers and benefit the publisher who is smart enough to take advantage of them. Liz Claiborne is a blue-chip brand that is reaching across the Internet in a very cost-effective way, using the power of affiliate marketing to increase the overall effectiveness of its online advertising budget."
