Microsoft Offers Commission Junction's Online Ad Services to bCentral Clients
Commission Junction Providing Pay-For-Performance Advertising to Microsoft bCentral Subscribers
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – August 21, 2001 – Commission Junction, the largest pay-for-performance ad network, today announced a strategic relationship with Microsoft bCentral, the leading provider of small business services on the Web. Commission Junction will now provide pay-for-performance advertising service to new or existing Microsoft bCentral subscribers.
"We strongly value our relationship with bCentral customers and entered this new relationship in the interest of providing an improved affiliate marketing service," said Marcus Schmidt, lead product manager of bCentral at Microsoft Corp. "Commission Junction's technology will allow online advertisers to acquire more customers and online publishers to secure more revenue from their audience, so we're excited to extend Commission Junction's service via the bCentral small-business service."
This move will allow bCentral to focus on its core set of small-business services - helping customers manage everyday business processes more efficiently. Current bCentral subscribers, as well as new advertisers and publishers who want to join this industry-leading affiliate marketing service, can sign up through Commission Junction's network at http://revenue.bcentral.com/cjjoin.htm.
"Microsoft bCentral clients will now be able to participate in the most cost-effective and measurable method of advertising online," said Lex Sisney, CEO & co-founder of Commission Junction. "Pay-for-performance advertising allows bCentral clients to convert traffic into customers. Advertisers only pay when a publisher sends them a new customer or sale. Publishers earn the most money possible from ads on their site. And both sides can gauge the success of their program and their partners' program because of the performance metrics we provide."
Commission Junction enables advertisers to drive more sales and leads to their online business and lower customer acquisition costs on a pay-for-performance basis. With Web-based technology, advertisers can quickly and easily implement a program into their online business. Commission Junction also allows publishers to partner with more than a thousand advertisers and access their ads from a single Web-based interface.
In addition, Commission Junction is the first and only ad network that provides real-time performance metrics on advertisers, ads and publishers, allowing both sides to closely monitor the effectiveness of each ad and relationship.
