News & Events Press Releases Commission Junction Named National Rising Star in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 Program

Revenue Growth of 8,757 Percent Attributed to Innovation

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Oct. 21, 2002 – Commission Junction, a leader in pay-for-performance marketing, has been named a Rising Star on the 2002 Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America. By achieving a revenue growth rate of 8,757 percent over the last three years, Commission Junction earned sixth place among the 25 national Rising Star winners. Rising Star is a special category of the Fast 500 competition for companies in business for at least three years, yet no more than five.

Commission Junction President Jeff Pullen credits the company's Rising Star success to the ability to quickly innovate and deliver product offerings that meet customer needs under dynamic market conditions. Pullen said, "I am proud to be part of a company that thrives in a difficult economy and continues to build upon its accomplishments. With highly motivated people, advanced technology and a top-quality customer base, Commission Junction is positioned for even greater success in the coming years."

"To rank on the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 Rising Star, companies must have phenomenal revenue growth in a three-year period. Commission Junction has proven to be one of the fast-growth success stories, and we applaud its vision," said Mark A. Evans, managing director, Deloitte & Touche Technology, Media, & Telecommunications Group.

Commission Junction's increase in revenues over the three-year period of 1999 to 2001 resulted in Commission Junction being named as a Rising Star in the 2002 Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500. To qualify as a Fast 500 Rising Star, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD in 1999 and $75,000 CD for the United States and Canada, respectively; must be public or private companies headquartered North America; and be "technology companies," defined as companies that own proprietary technology which contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
