Netscape to Use Affiliate Marketing Program to Promote New Low-cost Internet Access Service

DULLES, Va. and SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – May 5, 2004 – The Netscape® ISP, a low-cost Internet service offering consumers "Just the Net You Need" and a subsidiary of America Online, Inc., together with Commission Junction, a provider of advanced online performance-based marketing solutions, and a ValueClick, Inc. (Nasdaq: VCLK) company, announced the launch of an online affiliate marketing program with Commission Junction to promote the new Netscape Internet Service. The launch of Netscape's affiliate program has already attracted some of the top online marketing affiliates and is an important component of Netscape's online performance-based marketing efforts to promote its services and brand.

By choosing Commission Junction's CJ Vantage™ solution, Netscape is leveraging Commission Junction's extensive network of online publishers that make up one of the industry's largest affiliate communities to expand its brand reach to a broader audience and drive online registrations of its low-cost ISP. Netscape chose also to include CJ Associate™, an outsourced program management solution, to take advantage of Commission Junction's inside expertise. With both solutions, Commission Junction will maintain the lead-management channel, and will recruit, support, track, report, manage and pay publishers in the Netscape program on a performance-based fee model. Since the official launch of its affiliate program in February, Netscape has signed more than 1,300 publishers.
